Meli Pulido is the middle child of nine, born in Mexico City, Meli was nine years old when she came to Las Vegas, Nevada. Since a small child, Meli’s parents taught her the reward of providing service to other without an expectation of something in return. In addition, persevering hardships and refusing to fall in to the victim syndrome is by far Meli’s most inspiring characteristic.<\/p>\n

Meli is currently on her 3rd career, serving the community as a Realtor with the Fortune 500 global giant Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties. Meli’s 2nd career was as Executive Director for Project 150. In February 2013, Meli took on the challenge of growing a grassroots project from a preliminary stage to a successful non-profit organization. In six years, Project 150 grew to serve all high schools in Nevada; delivering over $3 million dollars in annual services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students. Lots of amazing collaboration relationships were born from Meli’s efforts.<\/p>\n

Meli retired from her first career with the City of Las Vegas in 2011 after a 25-year career in Human Resources. Meli worked in Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training & Development, Labor Relations, Employee & Community Engagement, created and executed special projects for Mayor, City Council, and City Manager’s Office.<\/p>\n

Parallel to Meli’s professional careers, she has contributed over 30 years of non-profit community service. In 2008, Meli was the 3rd Hispanic Woman in Nevada to be selected in to attend the Premier National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI), a one year long leadership program that included executive training in Washington DC, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, and the Center of Creative Leadership.<\/p>\n

Never losing ground of her culture, humble beginning, and transparent integrity, Meli’s first priority is the well-being of her parents, daughters and granddaughter. Meli’s passion is to serve the underserved, advocate rights for higher education, reduction in juvenile criminal injustice, fair access to health care, and strongly pursues community empowerment and unity through her career choises and volunteerism. Meli also loves to travel and create arts & crafts.<\/p>\n
